Every where, we are surrounded by expectations. The Internet, guarantees that these expectations are delivered to us instantaneously. No wonder that levels of dissatisfaction, once regarded as markers of chronic anxiety in the 1950’s, are now regarded as normal.
Where do the comparisons stop? Our look, our weight, our quickness, are all up for evaluation.
This week we look deeply into such expectations, and see how mindful reflection and meditation can dissolve these phantoms for what they are. Impostors and illusions passing through our lives. What we have is our breath, our anchor to each moment, to show these for what they are.
