The voting was completed and the next book club will centre on Happiness Is An Inside Job by Sylvia Boorstein. For those of you who are new, we generally do a bulk order of the books at the Mandala Bookstore. In order to qualify for bulk pricing, we need 10 orders. If enough people want to participate in the book club we will put in the order August 19th. You can help this process along by reminding your fellow sangha members to check in and leave a comment here if they want to participate.
The key to maintaining your inspiration in the day-to-day work of meditation practice is to approach it as play—a happy opportunity to master practical skills, to raise questions, experiment, and explore.

We’ll be discussing chapters 18, 19, 20, and 21.
We won’t be meeting this coming Monday, as it is a holiday.
We hope you enjoy what extra time off you may get.

This coming Monday, we’ll have an Open Discussion night.
What we’d like is for everyone to come with is one or two areas in life where you’d like to bring more mindfulness/skillfulness. We will share these areas and see what ideas or practices the group can suggest to each of us.
We will use this conversation as a springboard to choose the next book we’ll be reading.
We’ll also discuss any other questions you may want to air with the group.
See you then!
For Monday, please read Chapters 15, 16, & 17 in The Buddha Walks Into A Bar.
On Monday, we’ll discuss this talk on equanimity. Please make sure to listen to it before the meeting so you can fully engage with the discussion.
For Monday July 8th we’ll continue on in the book – please read Chapters 14 – 16
